STAYING POWER

Luke 24:19 “……..but tarry in the city of Jerusalem”
Waiting on the lord is something that is slowly leaving the church; most believers are losing that touch of being long-suffering. One sign or mark of a spiritual man is that he is patient. Long-suffering is the dimension of the fruit of the Spirit that gives a believer the ability to be patient or wait for a particular thing until it comes.
Before the Lord left he asked the disciple to wait in Jerusalem until they receive the promise of the father, it took 50 days before the promise came. His disciples had to wait for more than a month to receive this promise, don’t forget that they were hidden from the Jews. Our father of faith Abraham had to wait for 25 years before he received his promise of a child. Throughout the bible we see believers that had to wait for the promise, some even died and did not receive the promise.
Hope never fails Rom 5:5, many of us had receive different prophecies and many promises from the Lord but we have to learn how to hold on to our profession, we cannot afford to walk by sight, we should always walk in faith, the bible said that the just shall live by faith. Just because you received a word that in January you are going to receive finance and January past and you don’t receive anything that doesn’t mean the prophecy was wrong or it has past or that the man is not from God. No you just don’t give up but just hold on to that word and it will manifest here on earth.
JESUS ALSO SPOKE A WORD AND THE OPPOSITE HAPPENED IN JOHN 11, HE SAID THAT LAZARUS WILL NOT DIE, BUT LAZARUS DIED. DID JESUS CHANGE HIS CONFESSION? NO HE SAID LAZARUS WAS ASLEEP, AND AT THE END LAZARUS GOT BACK TO LIFE. THERE IS POWER IN HOLDING ON TO OUR CONFESSION AND THE PROMISE THAT GOD HAS MADE TO US. ON EARTH, BELIEVERS ARE IN A WALKING POSITION THAT MEANS IT TAKES TIME FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN. GOD LIVES IN A REALM CALLED ETERNITY, IN ETERNITY THERE IS NO TIME, SO WHEN GOD SPEAKS IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED, BUT ON EARTH THERE IS TIME, SO IT TAKES PROCESS AND TIME BEFORE IT’S SEEN ON EARTH.
GOD SPEAKS FROM ETERNITY AND WHEN HE SPEAKS HE HAS ALREADY SEEN YOU WITH WHAT HE SPOKE, IF WE CAN UNDERSTAND THAT ONCE GOD SPEAKS, IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED. THEN IT WILL BE EASIER FOR US BECAUSE WE WILL SEE OUR SELF FROM GOD’S REALM. WE MAY BE EATING GARRI AND GROUNDNUT, BUT GOD SEES US EATING FRIED RICE AND CHICKEN, YOU MAY SEE YOURSELF WEARING ONE CLOTH BUT GOD SEES YOU WEARING MANY CLOTHES. YOU MAY SEE YOURSELF WITH A THIRD CLASS BUT GOD SEES YOU WITH A FIRST CLASS.
GOD SEES YOU FROM HIS REALM NOT THIS REALM THAT IS WHY WE MUST RELATE WITH GOD FROM THAT REALM, THE REALM OF ETERNITY. WHEN WORDS GOES FORTH TO US HOLD ON TO DOES WORD BECAUSE BEFORE THEY ARE PROCLAIMED, IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED. IT JUST TAKES TIME BEFORE THEY ARE MANIFEST ON EARTH. IF YOU HAVE ONE SHOE DON’T BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF KEEP WEARING IT, TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT AND KEEP PROCLAIMING THAT IT MAY BE ONE NOW BUT VERY SOON IT WILL BE MUCH, KEEP SPEAKING THOSE WORDS, I MAY HAVE ONE SINGLET NOW BUT VERY SOON I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COUNT THEM. NEVER LOSE HOPE. 
One of the worst things that can happen to a person is when we loses hope, hope never fails, our inheritance lies on the foundation of hope, JUST KEEP SPEAKING THOSE PROMISES OVER YOUR LIFE FOR THE PROMISE OF GOD ARE YES AND AMEN. 2 COR. 2:20 WHEN YOU HAVE NOTHING TO EAT KEEP ON BLESSING GOD JUST SAY THANK YOU LORD FOR THIS FRIED RICE YOU HAVE GIVEN ME. YOU MAY LOOK STUPID AND MANY PEOPLE WILL LAUGH AT YOU BUT YOU JUST WAIT AND IN FEW DAYS WEEKS, MONTH YOU WILL SEE THEM. People will testify of mercy and grace because they cannot understand how over a sudden you got to where you’ve been confessing.
Don’t lose hope and keep on fixing your eyes on Jesus (the finish work of Christ) AND IN DUE TIME YOU WILL BE WHERE GOD HAS PLANNED FOR YOU TO BE.
